Transforming Pain: Your Journey to Relief
with Meghan Bass-Petti, LMSW, C-IAYT, TIYT
If you suffer from headaches, back or neck pain, fibromyalgia, exhaustion, or other physical/emotional conditions or symptoms and want to learn simple, evidence-based strategies for pain reduction or elimination, this is the workshop for you! Did you know that you have the ability to influence, change, reduce, and sometimes eliminate persistent or chronic pain by learning simple tools that are easily incorporated into your busy life in just minutes a day? In this accessible experiential workshop, you will learn how to understand the signals your body is sending (hint-they often don’t mean what you think!) and how the brain and nervous system are involved in our experience of physical and emotional pain. Tools will include mindfulness practices, gentle movement, body/breath awareness, and guided relaxation. No prior yoga or movement experience is required to attend and both chair and mat options will be provided for the techniques and tools you will learn.
What to Bring: yoga mat (if you have one), water bottle, journal and pen (if you would like to take notes)

ABOUT MEGHAN
Meghan Bass-Petti is a licensed mental health therapist, wellness and parenting coach, and certified yoga therapist.
The realization of the critical need for self-care came after several health challenges left her feeling completely depleted and desperate for a change. She began studying all forms of emotional and physical health in earnest, completing specialized trainings and certifications across multiple disciplines. She believes that movement and emotional well-being are crucial parts of any wellness journey.
